Beginning Thursday, March 5, passengers can fly nonstop from Little Rock (LIT) to Nashville (BNA) twice daily on Southwest Airlines.
The new nonstop route departs LIT each day at 7:25 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Airport leaders and staff, along with members of the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission, Southwest Airlines employees and Little Rock community leaders celebrated the launch of this new route with a celebration in the gate area. Passengers enjoyed live country music from Cliff & Susan, and Nashville-themed snacks and drinks.
Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott spoke briefly to passengers and guests before a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
“I want to thank our airport leaders as well as Southwest Airlines for this investment in the city’s future,” said Scott. “Today marks our third new destination in the last several months and that is a strong sign of growth, both for the airport and the city of Little Rock.”
“We’re excited to add this route, giving travelers another convenient option, whether Nashville is your final destination or a connection to other cities,” said Airport Commission Chairwoman Tiffany O’Guinn. “Southwest Airlines has proudly served our community for more than 40 years, and we truly value this long-standing partnership. We’re pleased to welcome Music City to the growing list of destinations you can reach nonstop from Little Rock.”
