LIT: Brighter. Better.
Improvements have arrived at Clinton National Airport.
With several key improvements already complete and more enhancements on the way, Clinton National Airport is focused on creating a first-class passenger experience from curbside to gate.
Our airport is not only a strong economic driver for the City of Little Rock and the state of Arkansas. LIT is the starting point for many as they embark on long-awaited reunions, well-earned vacations and essential business trips. We have been paying close attention to how people move through the airport and working to make the passenger experience feel easier, brighter and more enjoyable.

Curbside Canopy
Our traveler-first commitment begins the moment guests pull up to the terminal. The new curbside canopy brings a cleaner look and greater protection from the weather, creating a front-door entrance that feels more modern and welcoming as soon as passengers step out of their vehicles.

Concourse Flooring
Installation of our new Terrazzo flooring throughout the concourse is now complete! The update provides a more polished, seamless path as passengers are navigating to their gate or grabbing something to eat.

Arriving passengers and their waiting friends and family will soon see enhancements in our baggage claim area. A refreshed seating area is on the way- featuring new furniture, more green plants and convenient charging stations. We are excited for this new look in one of the airport’s most meaningful spots – where greeters keep an eye on the arrivals screen and wait for the familiar face they are excited to see.

Concourse Exit Lane
The new exit lane configuration not only enhances security, it also improves the flow of traffic. The glass doors with new signage make the final steps out of the concourse more intuitive, especially on high-volume travel days.
Work In Progress
Additional Parking
We’ve added 110 new passenger parking spaces for short and long-term parking, helping alleviate crowding concerns during peak travel seasons. This is the first phase of an airport parking development project that will add a total of 2,200 new spaces to accommodate both passengers and employees, supporting future growth and improving overall access to the terminal.
Work In Progress
Geothermal Wellfield
Our Terminal Redevelopment Program (TRP) includes plans to replace aging electrical and mechanical systems at LIT with a Central Utility Plant (CUP) to support future growth and expansion. The mechanical portion of the CUP, known as the Geothermal Energy Plant (GEP), will serve the terminal by providing a natural water loop heat exchange for the HVAC system. This system utilizes drilled geothermal wells to replace the existing natural gas-fired boilers and refrigerant chillers. Through the electrification of these systems, LIT anticipates an 85% reduction in greenhouse emissions, significantly advancing the Airport’s sustainability goals.
