Arkansas As Home Triptych Wood Panels
Arkansas As Home, captures the complexity and richness of Arkansas in three distinct woodcuts. The panels are filled with the imagery of what is meaningful and beloved in these three regions of Arkansas: mountain regions, wetland/waterways regions and delta regions.
About the Artwork
In Arkansas As Home, artist Neal Harrington captures the complexity and richness of Arkansas in his woodcuts, carved into birch plywood. These panels are filled with the imagery of what is meaningful and beloved in these three regions of Arkansas: mountain regions, wetland/waterways regions and delta regions.
Homegrown: Mountain Regions
This panel captures the sensation of exploration, play and the togetherness that we share in nature. In the Ozark Mountains and Ouachita Mountains, we are surrounded by lush foliage, like loblolly pines, apple blossoms and daffodils. Dotted throughout are the majestic stag, mockingbirds, monarch butterflies and soaring crows.
Down Home: Wetland/Waterways Regions
Arkansans love and appreciate the wildlife that lives in and around our many waterways. This panel is packed with a variety of animals from the blue heron to jumping bass and even an armadillo to round out the ensemble cast.
Home Sweet Home: Delta Regions
Entertainment and adventure thrive in the Natural State and this panel depicts the rich traditions, culture and industry of Arkansas. You may travel to other places, but there is no place like returning to Arkansas as Home!
