Steve Ronnel

Commissioner

Steve Ronnel is a Little Rock native and product of Little Rock public schools.  He is President of Metal Recycling Corporation, a scrap metal recycling and commodity brokerage business with headquarters in Little Rock and recycling facilities in Little Rock, North Little Rock and Searcy.

Prior to joining the family business in 1999, Steve worked in Washington, DC for almost a decade.  He served in the White House as an advisor to President William J. Clinton and Thomas F. “Mack” McLarty and worked in the United States Senate as a legislative assistant to Senator David H. Pryor of Arkansas.

Steve has served on a variety of professional, non-profit and economic development boards in Arkansas.  His volunteer service has included leadership positions on the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, Arkansas Recyclers Association, Political Animals Club of Little Rock and the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.

His proudest accomplishments are his wife Jennifer and their three children, Jason, Marilyn and David.
