Southwest Airlines will begin nonstop service between Clinton National Airport and Orlando International Airport on June 6, offering a convenient option for travelers heading to Central Florida this summer.
The seasonal route will operate on Saturdays through August, with a flight time of just over two hours. Orlando ranks as the 10th-largest destination for passengers traveling from Little Rock.
“We’re pleased to see Southwest adding nonstop service to Orlando,” said Shane Carter, the airport’s director of public affairs. “We believe there’s strong year-round demand for this destination and appreciate Southwest Airlines giving us the opportunity to demonstrate the strength of our market.”
The announcement continues the momentum of recent air service expansions at Clinton National. American Airlines added nonstop daily service to Phoenix earlier this week. Last month, Delta Airlines added daily nonstop service to Salt Lake City and Southwest will add twice-daily service to Nashville starting in March.
