Arkansas Mobile ID now accepted at Clinton National Airport

Travelers at Clinton National Airport can now use their Arkansas Mobile ID for identity verification at the TSA Checkpoint.

Passengers departing from LIT may present their mobile ID in place of a physical driver’s license when passing through security. By using Mobile ID, TSA can also verify that an individual is ticketed for air travel that day, so the traveler does not need to show a boarding pass to the TSA officer.

Anyone with an existing Arkansas license or ID can search and download “Arkansas Mobile ID” in the App Store or Google Play to obtain a Mobile ID at no cost. It is a contactless, highly secure, state-approved credential that resides on a smartphone, simply a mobile version of an existing license or ID.

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration worked closely with TSA on this process, hoping to make travel even easier for citizens.

Not all airports currently accept mobile IDs, so be sure to bring your physical license for your return trip.

“We’re pleased to see this identity verification upgrade available to Arkansas travelers,” Clinton National Airport Executive Director Steven Baker said. “We look forward to the acceptance of this technology at all commercial airports across the U.S. Until such time, we encourage travelers to also carry their physical licenses.”

Clinton National Airport is one of more than 260 airports across the country now accepting mobile IDs.
