When does the airport open?
LIT airport is open 24/7 but airlines, concessions and rental cars have their own operating hours.
How early should I arrive at the airport before my flight?
Airlines recommend arriving 90 minutes prior to departure for check-in and security screening.
Is smoking allowed in the terminal?
No. We do not sell cigarettes nor allow smoking anywhere in the terminal. Designated smoking areas are located outside in front of the terminal and on the east and west sides of the terminal.
What is a concourse pass? Can you escort a child or someone needing help to the gate?
Your airline may issue a concourse pass for someone to escort an unaccompanied minor child, an elderly person or someone with special needs through the security screening checkpoint and to the gate. You must still show valid government issued identification. Please contact your airline before your travel date to arrange a concourse pass. Authority to issue a concourse pass rests solely with the airline.
What type of identification do I need?
Passengers 18 and over must show a photo ID issued by federal or state government that contains your name, date of birth, gender and an expiration date. See acceptable documents.
How do I get a wheelchair?
This service is provided by airlines. Please make your arrangements in advance when you book your flight. In the airport, call Customer Care at 501-375-1509 to request assistance.
Can I take a prescription in my carry-on? What if it needs refrigeration?
We recommend that you carry all medications (and valuables) in your carry-on bag. Please adopt the 3-1-1 liquids rule--all liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 oz (100ml) or less per container, and containers must be stored in a 1-quart clear plastic zip-top bag. Medication in liquid form is allowed in carry-on bags in excess of 3.4 ounces; the traveler should inform the TSA officer of these medically necessary liquids and separate them from other belongings before screening begins. Passengers are allowed to bring medications in pill or other solid form through security screening checkpoints in unlimited amounts, as long as they are screened. If a passenger does not want a medication X-rayed, he or she may ask for an inspection instead. This request must be made before screening begins. You may keep your medication on ice until it’s time to process through screening. Once at screening, the ice will need to be dumped. You can get more ice at one of the post-screening restaurants.
How much are tickets to my destination?
Please consult airlines through their websites for fare information.
How do I pay for parking?
You may pay for parking with cash or by credit card.
How much will I have to pay for my bags?
Each airline's policy is different. Consult directly with your airline when you book your flight.
How much does a taxi cost?
If you are flying to Arkansas, local taxi services will take you wherever you need to go. Cost will depend on the destination. For more information, see our Ground Transportation page.
Does the airport conduct student tours?
Unfortunately, the airport no longer provides student educational tours.
Are there special rates for motorcycles? Where can they park? Is parking secure?
Motorcyclists pay and park in the same spaces as automobiles. The parking deck provides covered spaces at $13 per 24-hour period. All lots are secure, but all patrons park at their own risk. LIT is not responsible for damages. You may park in any available parking space for as long as 90 days.
What about long-term parking for motorhomes?
Our southern long-term lot can accommodate motor homes as long as 53 feet, though you pay for each space you occupy. Parking rates are $10.00 per 24 hour day. Each additional space means an additional $10.00 per day. For example, an 18 wheeler might take up 6 spaces for a total $60.00 per 24 hour day.
