Carlos De La Torre

DIRECTOR - OPERATIONS 
Carlos De La Torre serves as Director of Operations for Clinton National Airport. In his role, Mr. De La Torre is responsible for airside and landside operations and security.  

De La Torre has a distinguished governmental career spanning more than three decades. Prior to joining the airport, De La Torre served as the Assistant Federal Security Director for Screening with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).  In this position, he provided oversight of TSA Screening Operations for the state of Arkansas. 

De La Torre joined the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - TSA in 2001 and served as the Interim – Federal Security Director at Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Herndon, Virginia.  During this time, he formed an extremely positive working relationship with airports, airlines and federal, state and local law enforcement representatives. De La Torre also held several key international positions with DHS - TSA.

De La Torre began his federal career as a Federal Air Marshal with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  Other FAA assignments included serving as a Supervisory Special Agent with the FAA Dallas-Fort Worth Civil Aviation Security Field Office. He also spent six years at the U.S. Embassy in Brussels, Belgium as the FAA Civil Aviation International Operations Security Specialist. 

De La Torre is a graduate of Northwood University in Dallas, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran.
