Ronald F. Mathieu is executive director of Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport. Mr. Mathieu is responsible for overall administration, operations, maintenance and development.
Since arriving in Little Rock in 2006, he has strengthened the airport’s financial position to make it debt free while launching the organization’s largest construction program. The first phase, a $67 million initiative, included a new baggage handling system, the redevelopment of airline and administrative offices and enlargement of the security checkpoint and ticket lobby. The airport is currently undergoing a nearly $25 million concourse renovation.
Mathieu has held leadership positions at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and Newark International, LaGuardia and JFK International Airports - operated by the New York Port Authority.
Mathieu earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. He is a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives, where he serves on the Policy Review Committee, and is a past chairman of the Diversity Committee. Mathieu, a private pilot, is also a board member of the International Association of Airport Executives.
He and his wife, Yasmine, have two children.
